FedEx opens Ho Chi Minh facility

by Canadian Shipper

FEDEX Express is now offering dedicated services to Vietnam, opening a new 2,000 square metre facility which can handle some 24,000 packages and documents a month.
The new facility features in-house customs processing. A total of 85 employees are currently based in the building, with 20 vehicles operating full-time from the premises.

The courier has also introduced five weekly flights to and from the city. The flights operate through VASCO and Corporate Air.

“We are very excited about these developments which will help to significantly enhance our services to our customers but also benefit Vietnam as well. The new flights allow Vietnam’s producers better connectivity between all points of Asia via our hub in Subic Bay, and on to the US and Europe. This will be the first time that Vietnam has been directly connected to an express transport hub,” said David Cunningham, president Asia Pacific
