Fleet management program offers benefits to small businesses

ATLANTA, Ga.–UPS Capital and GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services are partnering on a new program that offers its small company clients fleet management solutions at rates typically enjoyed only by large companies.
The program applies to companies with minimum fleet sizes of five vehicles and includes light truck, heavy truck, warehouse or work vehicles.
In addition to providing financing and leasing services, GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services manages entire fleet operations from vehicle ordering to vehicle repair and compliance management. Some of the services available to UPS Capital customers through the new program include: maintenance management, which consolidates and manages repairs, costs and maintenance, electronic Fuel Card, to help businesses better manage fuel purchases, accident Services, available 24/7 through the Accident Management Control Center, personal mileage/taxable benefits, with Internet and phone-based reporting, real-time information and quarterly updates, rapidTag(SM), a guaranteed registration program in which tags, stickers and plates are sent directly to drivers eliminating multiple payments to governing agencies, and driver safety programs that include training classes for fleet managers and drivers.
Through the program, small companies that are customers of UPS Capital, the financial services arm of UPS will be viewed collectively by GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services, making them eligible for a GE discount.
