Further expansion for FedEx in China
Federal Express (FedEx) will expand its services to 100 more Chinese cities over the next five years, says the company’s vice president of China & Mid Pacific Region, Eddy Chan.
FedEx made its debut in China in 1984, and now provides services to 190 Chinese cities, with its 11 flights shuttling between China and the outside world each week.
Chan said China’s entry into the World Trade Organization will generate more opportunities for FedEx, as more foreign companies will come to invest in China, which will greatly boost the goods circulation between China and other countries.
FedEx now employs about 600 people in China, most of whom are local residents, Chan said.
