G-Log and BDP team up to bolster cost reductions

G-Log, a provider of collaborative logistics management solutions, has entered into a strategic agreement with BDP International (BDP), a global logistics and transportation services company.
Under the agreement, BDP will license and implement the comprehensive G-Log logistics platform to advance its existing infrastructure. In accordance, G-Log and BDP will collaborate in a Joint Application Development (JAD) project to extend G-Log’s footprint in international trade logistics (ITL).
BDP will implement the G-Log solution to deliver comprehensive logistics management functionality for both domestic and international transportation operations that address individual customer equirements. Using G-Log’s solution, BDP will be able to provide total cost reductions to shippers by enabling optimized transactions through complete visibility to orders, access to rates, routes, import and export regulatory compliance, and shipment information through a Web-based system, it is claimed.
As part of the JAD project, BDP will provide consulting support to G-Log contributing its core knowledge of freight forwarding, customs brokerage, regulatory compliance, and International Lead Logistics Provider (ILLP) systems requirements, to enhance the value of the G-Log logistics platform for international trade logistics operations.
