Hiring of supply chain professionals…

Hiring of supply chain professionals expected to pick up south of the border (July 16, 2001)

Industry recruitment Website, JobsinLogistics.com, reports hiring for logistics, supply chain, transportation and distribution professionals is rising again in the US after a slow start to the year.

"During the first five months of 2001, many corporations severely cut back or delayed their recruiting drive. Some major employers introduced layoffs and some implemented a hiring freeze to cut back on expenses. We are pleased to announce that more and more recruiters and employers are now reporting optimism, albeit cautious optimism, that they will be hiring more candidates for jobs in logistics during the summer," said Don Firth, president and CEO of JobsinLogistics.com. "Most companies recognize the key role logistics plays in improving profitability by increasing customer service and reducing costs.
