IFTA reporting now available online

A web site for International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) carriers based in B.C. is now available on the Internet at http://www.rev.gov.bc.ca/ctb/IFTA.htm and contains the following:

 an IFTA Operating Manual for B.C. carriers;
 tax bulletins and notices specific to B.C. carriers;
 application forms and instructions for completing a carrier licence application (FIN 363);
 instructions for completing the quarterly tax returns
 an electronic quarterly tax return (FIN 360) to assist B.C. carriers in completing their quarterly returns
The B.C. Consumer Taxation Branch IFTA manager has also offered to make a presentation to interested BCTA carrier members about IFTA to discuss the following:
 IFTA requirements (e.g., record keeping and reporting).
 ways to reduce errors and processing time and introduce electronic reporting
 answer questions/discuss any issues regarding IFTA and potential opportunities/future improvements.
