JMO Systems unveils Indago Warehouse Management System

JMO Business Systems, a developer and integrator of enterprise software, has released its Indago Warehouse Management System (WMS) a powerful web-based software for mid-market companies.

"Indago is designed to enable companies to keep tight controls over their inventory, allowing them to make more money, save more money and save more time, generating real operational efficiencies across the enterprise," the company, which has an office in Concord, Ont., claims in a release.

The core of Indago WMS is the Indago server that is capable of handling large volumes of information to allow greater cost control, increased inventory accuracy and the ability to track inventory movement. Indago is browser and platform independent, so it can be operated within any technology environment including Linux, Unix or Windows based networks. The power of Indago is that it easily integrates WMS functionality into virtually any back-end system. The product features full support for SQL Server, MySQL, DB2 and Oracle9.

According to JMO, additional benefits of using the Indago WMS include:
 Simplified deployment that runs "out-of-the-box" with any standard browser interface;
 Optimized quality management with features such as Vendor compliant labeling;
 Improved supply chain management that gets inventory to the right place at the right time;
 Reduced costs by eliminating the need to perform resource intensive data entry,
 Greater inventory accuracy and accountability throughout the warehouse;
 Completely scaleable design companies can mix and match functionality; and,
 Real-time wireless optimization.

Warehouse managers can replace their outdated paper-based warehouse management systems that make it difficult to track fast moving inventory since item locations and status are not updated in real-time. This “lag time” results in lost merchandise in the warehouse and wasted time while workers search the warehouse looking for items. Indago incorporates wireless devices from partners such as SYMBOL to overcome this challenge and improve worker productivity.

"After we installed the Receiving and Stocking programs in our warehouse, the managers in those areas asserted that 2 receivers were able to do the work of 4 and that 7 stockers were doing the work of 12," said Gordy Fredrickson, Systems Analyst at Factory Motor Parts. "Accuracy, productivity and accountability each increased, plus we are able to sell parts as they were stocked instead of waiting for the completion of a 300 page packing slip."

JMO Business Systems has provided solutions for over 100 leading organizations including Xerox, Polo Ralph Lauren, Jones Apparel, and the Toronto Parking Authority. JMO simplifies technology and allows companies to improve and direct their enterprise resources using products such as the Indago Warehouse Management System and COGNOS business intelligence software.
