by Canadian Shipper

Kent Line is revamping its Caribbean service from April with two new port calls in Florida in addition to New York, and Saint John in Canada.

The first call, by the Kent Sprint, at Port Everglades will be 7th April. The full weekly rotation is Saint John (New Brunswick), New York, Jacksonville, Port Everglades, Kingston, Rio Haina,San Juan, La Guaira, Puerto Cabello, Point Lisas (Trinidad), Bridgetown, Saint Lucia, San Juan and return to Saint John.

After one year of providing weekly calls in South Florida under a slot charter arrangement to Seaboard Marine, Kent Line will shortly commence their own operation in Florida. The Line will partner with international Port Services Inc. (Interport) of Miami to establish a dedicated agency in Florida. Interport is an associate company of Intershipping C.A., who have been Kent Line’s Venezuelan partner since 1998.

After a long operating partnership with the Port of Philadelphia, Kent Line is also changing the routing of its Northeast US cargo to New York. The call at Red Hook Terminal in New York will allow Kent Line to offer better service to the important Caribbean Market centered
on the City.
