Licensing agreement adds eDispatch to Aether’s transportation and logistics division wireless offerings

eDispatch.com Wireless Data Inc., a leading developer of dispatching software marketed through wireless data providers to companies managing mobile workforces, and Aether Systems, Inc. a provider of
wireless data products and services, have signed a commercial licensing agreement.

Aether Systems will offer eDispatch’s solution to its customers in the transportation and logistics market.

The eDispatch system consists of an Internet-based dispatching software
application, wireless data airtime and two-way mobile devices such as RIM Wireless Handhelds, wireless enabled Palm and WinCE devices,
Internet-ready mobile phones and other PDAs. With the eDispatch
system, companies can dispatch job orders, track their progress, and
manage and deploy workers in real-time – thereby increasing the efficiency, productivity and safety of their mobile workforce.

The eDispatch system is available for a flat monthly fee as part of a bundled wireless data solution that includes the eDispatch software and airtime.

The agreement allows Aether’s transportation and logistics division
to add to its growing set of solution offerings. By integrating the eDispatch system with its wireless messaging software and software development tools known as AIM (Aether Intelligent Messaging), Aether, who recently acquired Motient Corp.’s transportation division, will extend eDispatch to any network or device, with an initial launch on RIM Wireless Handhelds.
