Lufthansa wins European intermodal award

Lufthansa German Airlines has won the European Intermodal Award at the recent Intermodal 2001 conference in Hamburg.

The airline’s AIRail pilot project, initiated by Lufthansa in co-operation with German Rail and the Fraport airport company in Frankfurt, landed the prize in the “International Intermodal Transport Services” category.

Jury members included the European Commission and the European Parliament
