Lykes Lines adds Italian calls on Gulf-Mediterranean service (May 24, 2002)

Lykes Lines is adding calls at Livorno and Genoa on its
Gulf-Mediterranean Service to better serve northern Italy’s main industrial areas.

The upgraded Gulf-Mediterranean Service, operating once every nine days, commences with the eastbound sailing from Veracruz on June 12. The service already calls at Gioia Tauro in Italy and at Barcelona and Valencia in Spain.

Last November, Lykes Lines added San Juan as a call on the
service, providing Puerto Rican shippers with a direct link to their important markets in the Mediterranean. Transit times from San Juan are just 10 days to Gioia Tauro and 16 to Barcelona.

The full port rotation is: Miami, Veracruz, Altamira, Houston, New Orleans, San Juan, Gioia Tauro, Livorno, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Miami.
