Maersk Logistics launches supply chain analysis tool

Maersk Logistics customers can now conduct an in-depth analysis of their supply chains using M*Power, a new function in its web-based IT system, says the company. The new function is a data analysis and reporting tool called Executive. It is the latest addition to the Maersk Logistics M*Power suite of IT tools.

The web browser-based analysis tool enables customers to extract information from the M*Power database. The new tool is able to generate a variety of data hierarchies for analysis. Previously, it has been difficult or time consuming for customers to analyse the data available in the database, but the new tool cuts down the time required for analysis through a one-step approach.

When calculated, results can be viewed in a variety of different ways, for example as pie charts or graphic columns, making it easier to answer specific questions and discover trends. M*Power Executive differs from M*Power Report Builder (another function in the suite) in that it is an interactive relations database with the possibility of performing cross-tab calculations.
