Maersk logistics opens new east coast facility

Maersk Logistics’ US subsidiary Hudd Distribution Services Inc. has opened a new US east coast distribution centre, which will provide the same level of service Maersk offers customers on the west coast.

The Chesapeake facility covers 225,000 square feet and is situated within 45 acres of land allowing for future growth. The facility yard has 550 trailer parking spaces, 123 dock doors, a potential for rail access, and lies next to the main highway, the Interstate 664 in Virginia, some 14 miles from container terminals in Norfolk, Virginia.
