Mexicana Airlines launches daily services from western Canada to Mexico

by Canadian Shipper

Mexixana Airlines is now offering flights between the cities of Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary in Canada, and Mexico City and Guadalajara in Mexico.

Mexicana’s code-sharing agreement with Air Canada will see flights operated by Air Canada into Los Angeles or San Francisco and connecting to Mexicana’s non-stop service to Mexico.

There are three daily flights to Guadalajara connecting via Los Angeles and San Francisco, and two daily flights to Mexico City, with a third flight on Thursdays and Sundays.

Both Mexicana and Air Canada are Star Alliance members. The two airlines have had a code-share agreement since 1999 and there are presently about 60 code-shared flights operated by the airlines between Canada and Mexico, in addition to the non-stop service already offered by Mexicana from Toronto and Montreal.
