Motka named managing director, GeoLogistics’ Eastern Europe, CIS Operations

SANTA ANA, Calif.–GeoLogistics Corporation has named Francesco Motka as its new Managing Director for Eastern Europe and CIS operations.

An international logistics veteran, Motka comes to GeoLogistics from Schenker, where he was regional director, responsible for setting up air and sea operations in Finland, Baltic States, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia.

In addition, he was part of the team that integrated Schenker Poland with Spedpol Poland, to offer a full-range of freight forwarding capabilities. Prior to that, Motka was managing director and CEO of Schenker India, where he was responsible for starting country operations and opening six offices. Motka will be based in Frankfurt, Germany and will report directly to the CEO of GeoLogistics Europe.
