NAV Canada assessing impact of terrorist attacks on civil aviation

by Canadian Shipper

NAV Canada has begun to assess in detail the impact on its operations of the terrorist attack in the United States on September 11, 2001.

“NAV CANADA is currently assessing future traffic forecasts and conducting an extensive review of its cost and revenue structures in order to develop mitigation plans. As an integral and vital part of the aviation industry, we must be particularly sensitive to the crisis facing our customers as we develop ongoing mitigation plans,” says John Crichton, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Crichton added, however that the current situation in the commercial aviation industry has not affected NAV CANADA’s ability to satisfy all of its debt covenants.
