New Savi knowledge center offers onsite or online RFID training

SUNNYVALE , Calif. The Savi Knowledge Center recently opened its doors as a new showcase facility providing on-site and online instruction on how best to deploy Savi Technology’s portfolio of successful Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) supply chain solutions.

Located at the company’s global headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, the Savi Knowledge Center, http://www.savi.com/skc/overview.skc.shtml, also provides courses at a satellite site in Herndon, VA.

Highly credentialed trainers provide instruction on RFID solutions through a dozen classroom courses ranging from “Introduction to RFID” and “Field Service Engineering” to “Savi SmartStart Solution” and “Savi Consignment Management Solution,” says Savi.

“A team of more than 50 RFID solution experts at Savi has been tapped to formalize and elevate our training programs to this new level of excellence through the Savi Knowledge Center,” said Darren Hakeman, Savi Technology’s senior vice president of Global Services. “As Savi’s leadership role continues to expand, it’s critical that we provide practical training to ensure that our customers and partners maximize business value from our products and solutions.”

Most recent participants in Savi Knowledge Center courses have included customers and partners from a wide range of organizations, including major international shippers, systems integrators, port and terminal operators, logistics service providers, and military services.

There are multiple ways to utilize the many facets of the Savi Knowledge Center. In addition to Savi customers and partners, students can register for on-site courses in California or Virginia, enroll in “virtual classes” from their own locations or progress at their own pace through online instruction, which includes downloadable courses with animations and instructional video clips. Courses typically last 2-5 days, depending on the breadth and depth of material to be covered.
