NTE offers privately branded transportation execution solution

B2B e-commerce company NTE is now offering other transportation e-marketplaces the ability to use a private-labeled version of its online Exchange service.

The first such application was launched recently when FreightMatrix began offering shippers the ability to buy transportation capacity from NTE members without leaving the FreightMatrix Web site.

Shippers using the freight matching service are actually connecting to the infrastructure of NTE’s Exchange service. Its online marketplace is neutral and real-time, automatically matching compatible business partners and executing transactions according to company requirements.

“By offering a privately branded solution, we are enabling other transportation
e-marketplaces to offer their shipper customers the ability to buy transportation capacity. We believe that this ‘powered by NTE’ solution opens the door for new business opportunities with other e-commerce companies seeking transportation execution,” said John Martin, NTE’s senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development.

Formed in 1994, NTE seeks to improve how companies buy, sell and manage transportation services via technology-enabled solutions such as real-time, online procurement services and information management tools.
