NWA Cargo advises on unknown shippers
When tendering an ‘unknown shipper’ to Northwest Airlines (NWA) Cargo, the airline asks all customers to clearly identify in the handling information box of the master air waybill that the shipment is for the FREIGHTER AIRCRAFT ONLY.
NWA said it has been experiencing confusion lately because the rules differ between its passenger and cargo carriers as it relates to ‘unknown shippers’. Shipments should be booked on freighter flights only and all connections must be booked on the freighter flights, NWA advises.
