NYK Line signs up to Bolero.net for e-commerce capabilities

NYK Line has signed up as a member of “Bolero.net”, which provides users with electronic commerce service and computerizes various trade documents via the Internet.

The move is in response to increasing customer demand for e-commerce capabilities, says NYK.

Bolero.net provides a secured environment in trade document exchanges over the Internet by cryptographic technology, commonly known as digital signatures and encryption. It also provides an application for recording and transferring the rights and obligations contained in a Bolero Bill of Lading, which is equivalent to the paper Bill of Lading.
