Old Dominion opens new warehouse

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Old Dominion Freight Line has opened a new, state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Thomasville. The 160,000-sq. ft. facility will also headquarter its OD-Warehousing and Distribution Services Division, which was started just over a year ago.

“We are excited about adding this property to our existing warehousing offering,” said Rick Keeler, senior vice-president of pricing and strategic development. “This new facility will enable our clients to better serve the Southeast, Northeast and Midwest markets of the United States.”

The new facility is known as an established “Free Trade Zone,” which provides a number of business opportunities to Old Dominion clients, officials said.

“This new Thomasville warehouse further supports the company’s commitment to our overall warehousing initiative,” said Chris Reynolds, director of warehousing and distribution services. “Like our other facilities, the Thomasville location is a state-of-the-art warehousing complex offering a complete range of distribution services.”

Old Dominion’s warehouse network now provides service in Commerce, Calif., Thomasville, N.C., and Worcester, Mass. Officials say each location is strategically located to service a significant portion of the US population as well as perform door-to-door services to and from points in the US, the Far East, Mexico and Canada via Old Dominion’s international partner network.
