New World Transportation, an Atlanta-based carrier, which also hauls into the Canadian market, has purchased Trans-Soft’s full suite of TS2000 Plus and TS2000Net freight forwarding software applications to help manage its freight transportation services and increase productivity.
The company utilizes Trans-Soft’s TS2000 Plus core operating system for dispatch, tracking and freight payment, as well as its TS2000 Net Web-based modular system that enables their customers to track shipments they have tendered online. New World’s Web site was built by Trans-Soft and is hosted from its Scottsdale office, where services can be accessed by a back office or remote Web browser, enabling shippers to log on to find up-to-date information and track their shipments.
New World Transportation electronically handles a wide variety of inbound and outbound freight for shippers, utilizing customized transportation services via ground, air and ocean, with its primary focus on time-definitive service for nationwide expedited delivery.
“We reviewed numerous software options and made the decision based on what we thought would make us become more efficient,” said Sandra Britt, president of New World Transportation. “The access to information is a huge benefit that allows us to provide our customers with constant updates on their shipments. Integrating Trans-Soft’s software into our operational platform enables us to significantly streamline our dispatch, tracking and administrative functions, which create immediate electronic efficiencies for our customers and us. The software provides us with filters to multiple reports and look-ups providing an edge over the other software we reviewed.”
Trans-Soft Inc., is a Scottsdale, AZ-based software technology company that develops and implements comprehensive transportation management solutions for logistics operations in the freight forwarding industry.
