Oracle delivers services to help companies succeed with SupplyChain.Oracle.Com software
E-business software provider Oracle Corp has announced the immediate availability of SupplyChain.Oracle.com Consulting Services, a set of services that can have companies collaborating with their trading partners in as few as 20 days.
The services delivered by Oracle Consulting Services include a two day End User Workshop and a Collaboration Service. The two-day End User Workshop helps users learn how to use SupplyChain.Oracle.com functionality within the context of specific business processes, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Vendor Managed Inventory. Site administrators and super users are trained to understand the steps required to administer SupplyChain.Oracle.com. These tasks include approving trading partners, approving users and assigning job functions, loading data, and establishing trading partner setups.
“Companies hoping to gain a competitive advantage today must do so quickly and cost effectively. However, the market perception that supply chain software must be costly and difficult to implement is preventing companies from doing so.” said Mark Salser, senior vice president, Emerging Business & Technology, Oracle Corp. “As a result companies continue to put off until tomorrow what they need to do today. SupplyChain.Oracle.com and the services developed by Oracle Consulting Services remove these perceived barriers to entry, speed time to value and allow companies to successfully collaborate with their trading partners in a matter of days.”
The Supply Chain Collaboration Services engagement is expected to last around 20 days and begins with executive business and process strategy workshops, which establish the framework, objectives and performance targets. Additional components of the Collaboration Services include, project team orientation, content management strategy, mock collaborations, production assistance and trading partner training.
The recently launched SupplyChain.Oracle.com is built upon a proven collaborative solution, Oracle Supply Chain Exchange, and, according to Oracle, allows companies to "quickly realize the benefits of collaborative planning and optimization, and supply chain event management." Since SupplyChain.Oracle.com is delivered as an online service, companies are not required to make additional investments in IT infrastructure or the labor required to support it.
