The Panalpina Group has extended its global network, setting up national operating organizations in Hungary and the Czech Republic. The two offices – located in Budapest and Prague – offer the complete range of Panalpina services, including customs clearance, to both domestic and international clients.

In addition to acquiring new customers in Hungary and the Czech Republic, the organizations will focus on expanding their services in the key seafreight and airfreight fields as well as providing the associated supply chain management solutions. They will also provide services in the railfreight and project management fields.

Numerous multinational companies – notably in the automotive, high tech and semiconductor industries – are represented in both countries, including a large number of long-standing Panalpina clients. These companies will now benefit all the more from the continuing eastward expansion of Panalpina’s airfreight network.

“We can now fully meet our customers’ individual needs and provide them with a top-quality service. We now have full control of the entire logistics chain, including all the interfaces. This is especially important for our intercontinental door-to-door services,” says Johann Winzer, managing director of Panalpina Austria, who is now also in charge of the two new organizations.
