Paradigm announces changes to its board of directors

Toronto-headquartered Paradigm Advanced Technologies, Inc. has announced that Gordon Sharwood, Chairman of Sharwood Inc., has joined its Board of Directors.

Sharwood has been involved in the Canadian financial and business community since 1956. He has been involved in a variety of senior roles within major Canadian financial institutions including Chief General Manager of the CIBC, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Traders Group Ltd and the Chairman of Guaranty Trust Company of Canada prior to founding Sharwood & Company (now Sharwood Inc.), an investment bank for entrepreneurs, in 1976. In addition, he was the Founding Chairman of First Choice Canadian Communications Corporation, the first pay-TV Channel in Canada awarded by the CRTC, in 1976. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Dover Industries, Soliton Associates and Nutech Precision Metals Inc.

In further news, Paradigm announced that Selwyn Wener has submitted his resignation to the Board of Directors for personal reasons. Effective immediately, R. Charles Allen, Vice President and General Counsel, will act as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company while the issue of succession is reviewed..
