PBB offering additional CSA seminar to meet demand

by Canadian Shipper

TORONTO, Ont. — PBB Global Logistics is conducting a one-time only educational seminar on Canada Border Services Agency’s Customs Self Assessment (CSA) program to discuss its elements and benefits.

The morning session, announced April 22nd, has been filled and so, an afternoon session has been opened.

“CBSA is proposing that within the next year all goods imported into Canada will fall under Customs Self Assessment & FAST OR Advance Commercial Information (ACI) & Mandatory HS,” says Bob Armstrong, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs, PBB Global Logistics. “With ACI’s implementation schedule underway, traders are beginning to seriously consider the alternative – CSA. We are pleased that importers have been so receptive of this seminar, which will help them determine if CSA is right for them.”

Industry experts from the Ontario Trucking Association & Canada Border Services Agency, alongside PBB’s in-house experts Bob Armstrong and John Quirke will share their views on CSA. “With delays at the border becoming more frequent, traders are also looking at CSA as a way to be first in line at the border,” says Armstrong.
