Port of Savannah launches new service

SAVANNAH, Georgia- Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) has announced the launch of the Port of Savannah’s newest All-Water East Coast service (AWE4) which, it says, will enhance both Asia-US east coast services and Georgia’s exports to the Far East, reports schednet.com.

The AWE4 service is jointly operated by “K” Line, Cosco, Hanjin and Yang Ming, and could generate an additional 40,000 TEU throughput annually at the port, say officials.
