Saint John Port Authority welcomes three new board members

OTTAWA, Ont. — Hugh Flemming of Rothesay, N.B., Peter Gaulton of Saint John, N.B., and Donald Hall of Rothesay, N.B. have each been appointed to the board of directors of the Saint John Port Authority for terms of three years each.
“I am delighted that Mr. Flemming, Mr. Gaulton and Mr. Hall have agreed to serve on the board of the Saint John Port Authority,” said Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities. “Mr. Flemming’s knowledge of corporate law, Mr. Gaulton’s experience as a chartered accountant and businessman, and Mr. Hall’s experience in business administration will be invaluable to the port authority.”
Flemming is a lawyer who was appointed a Queen’s counsel in 1992. He has practised in the areas of corporate and commercial law. Since 2004, he has been a member of the board of directors of the New Brunswick Securities Commission.
Gaulton has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is also a chartered accountant practising in Saint John. In the past, he has held various positions with a number of companies, including Irving Oil Limited, Brookville Transport Limited and Thorne Riddell.
Hall holds a master of business administration degree from the University of British Columbia. He has extensive experience in the transportation industry and worked with Canadian Pacific, Misener Shipping and J. D. Irving.
