Satellite and fleet management companies form partnership

TORONTO, Ontario: BSM Technologies Inc and Blue Ocean Satellite Systems have signed a technology sharing and distribution agreement.

St. John’s, Newfoundland-based Blue Ocean is a provider of SkyHawk-branded satellite data communication and monitoring systems. Toronto, Ontario-based BSM’ BSM Wireless Inc division offers fleet management, diagnostic and monitoring solutions.

The arrangement will see Blue Oceans integrate BSM’s Sentinel real-time fleet management products with its own existing product line. In addition, Blue Ocean will become BSM’s sole provider for Iridium and Globalstar satellite data communications hardware and services.

“We can now both offer our clients a best-in-class solution that provides enhanced operational visibility through a single, web-based application, one monthly service bill and a solution that works anywhere in the world,” said BSM president and CEO Aly Rahemtulla.
