Schneider National Inc. appoints John Ferguson General Manager of Canadian Operations

Green Bay, WIS. — John Ferguson, well known in Canadian supply chain circles during his time with PBB Global Logistics, has been named general manager, Canada for Schneider National Inc.

Ferguson will lead the development and execution of business strategy in the Canadian marketplace.

“John has a proven track record of new business development and revenue growth, as well as extensive supply chain management and international trade expertise,” said Dave Geyer, vice president and general manager, Truckload for Schneider National. “He is a strong addition to our team and we look forward to the contributions he will make to the business strategy in Canada and to our international operations.”

Ferguson joins Schneider National from PBB Global Logistics, Inc., a provider of third party international logistics services based in Fort Erie, Ontario. During his 18-year tenure with PBB, he had progressive responsibility in sales and marketing and was instrumental in the company’s successful evolution from a customs broker to a global logistics company.

Ferguson currently serves as the director of Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) and president of the Transportation Marketing and Communication Association (TMCA) and is the first to serve as general manager of Schneider Canada.

For more than 15 years, Schneider Canada has provided transportation and logistics services, including One-Way, Intermodal, Dedicated and Schneider Transportation Management. It is certified for both the Customs Self Assessment (CSA) through the Canada Border Services Agency and the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT).

Headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, Schneider Canada is the largest U.S.-based carrier in Canada and employs more than 750 Canadian drivers, mechanics and office associates.
