SDV Logistics up and running on new customs software

TORONTO, Ont. — SDV Logistics (Canada) Inc announces that is has completed its migration from an antiquated character based software package to Windows based applications developed by Logistics Software Corp. using Microsoft’s .NET framework and MS SQL server database.

Integration was also successfully extended between Customs Intelligence and their accounting software applications. The migration simultaneously took place for all offices located in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia.

Customs Intelligence officially launched in May/2005 is a Windows based software application developed for the customs broker to ensure shipments crossing Canadian borders are cleared fast and with accuracy. The extensive application has a multitude of capabilities that include complete ACROSS, RNS and CADEX capabilities, as well as, billing schedules, invoicing, summary billing, credit notes, credit checking, pro-rating, GST direct, Duty direct, full integration to 3rd party accounting software applications such as ACCPAC, CCI creation, EDI XML import capabilities for commercial invoices and product databases, B3, B2, LVS, NAFTA certificates, K84s, user controlled access, reporting, email capabilities, daily and automatic updates directly from CBSA and OGD participants, web-links to Canada Customs web-sites, full windows functionality along with an easy to use graphical user interface.

CIGE (Customs Internet Gateway Exchange) is a CBSA (Canada Border and Services Agency) certified software application that enables you to securely exchange data with CBSA via the Internet. The CIGE application replaces existing dedicated CADEX line or 3rd party service provider by integrating existing CADEX, ACROSS, RNS, DFAIT and ACI ready applications to the Internet. CIGE is fully and seamlessly integrated with Customs Intelligence.
