ShipLogix releases new shipper user interface
ShipLogix, a provider of a complete suite of Internet-based multi-modal transportation management tools, has released version 4.0 of its shipper user interface that gives users the ability to configure alerts, define workflow rules and tailor the presentation of data to meet their specific requirements.
Most software providers have a ‘one size fits all’ approach that requires users to change their internal processes to fit the software,” explained ShipLogix CEO Tom Escott. “We’re introducing what we believe is a first in the transportation management space: software that adapts to the user’s business processes and allows them to view and receive data the way they want. We think this capability creates a strong point of differentiation for our hosted web-based system.”
The new user interface complements a similar configurable carrier interface introduced by ShipLogix earlier this year. The combination allows trading partners to synchronize their workflows, create alerts that are most relevant to them and improve the transportation management process for both parties.
“The new user interface gives us an easy way to customize the ShipLogix system to meet our own workflow rules,” remarked Tom McDermott, President of Dedicated Logistics, a Cleveland-based provider of customized outsourced transportation management, warehousing and distribution solutions.
In addition to greater workflow flexibility, the new ShipLogix shipper user interface also provides a snapshot view of shipment status information immediately upon log in and enables users to log on from any computer to view shipment data.
ShipLogix is currently deploying the new shipper user interface with selected customers and expects to convert its complete customer base to the new release later this year.
