Tecsys targets wholesalers with exclusive product suite

Montreal-based Tecsys Inc., a distribution management solutions provider,is targeting electrical and industrial wholesalers across North America with its distribution, warehouse management, transportation management and e-commerce solution exclusive to this sector.

This initiative was launched following the completion of Tecsys’ distribution management package designed specifically for electrical and industrial distributors, and the company’s most significant software implementation in this sector – the recent go-live of Steiner Electric Company.

Steiner is the largest independent electrical distributor in the state of Illinois and in the top 30 of the 2000 Electrical Wholesaling Magazine – top 250 list. The company operates six distribution centres in the Chicago area and distributes up to 800,000 catalogue items and over 65,000 stock items for thousands of customers. Steiner represents the premier lines in the industries it serves for such products as electrical and industrial supplies, motors and drives, automation products and data communication products. The company has an extensive inventory and provides next-day delivery, on-site application support and many other value-added services.
