Teklynx International introduces LABELVIEW 7.0

Teklynx International, a developer of software products for the automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) marketplace has released LABELVIEW 7. bar code labeling and integration software.

LABELVIEW 7 is a software solution supporting more than 650 thermal transfer printers.

“The new features and tools in LABELVIEW include POF (Printer Object File) configuration manager, MDI (Multiple Document Interface), graphic drawing tools, and a more Microsoft-like feature set,” said David Pettiford, product manager at Teklynx International.

According to Pettiford, the POF Manager allows the creation and modification of Printer Object Files through a user-friendly interface.

For many companies that have legacy systems or databases in place there may be few alternatives to custom written code for implementing thermal transfer printing of labels. The company says making use of LABELVIEW’s POF utility can be an effective solution that minimizes the amount of customization necessary. POF provides a non-middleware solution for legacy applications that does not require the end user to understand printer code and can be integrated into an existing system by swapping out variables.

With LABELVIEW’s, Multiple Document Interface (MDI) several labels can be displayed at the same time, giving you the ability to work on several files simultaneously and copy and paste objects between labels, added Pettiford.
