TMM Lines is upgrading its Gulf-Mexico-Caribbean service

TMM Lines is adding Rio Haina, Dominican Republic, to its Gulf-Mexico-Caribbean Service and increasing the frequency of calls to La Guaira, Venezuela to weekly from once every two weeks.

TMM Lines already ofers weekly, fixed day service in Gulf-Mexico-Caribbean trade. The line also links Rio Haina with the East Coast of South America via transhipment at Puerto Cabello.

“There is a lot of demand for our weekly service, as shippers find the fixed day schedule more convenient and more reliable,” says Juan Manuel Gonzalez, VP Commercial. “We have added Rio Haina in response to demand from shippers, particularly in Mexico and Venezuela. Our main products from Mexico are chemicals, paper and foodstuffs, while from Venezuela we carry a lot of electronics, appliances and chemicals.”

The first voyage to incorporate Rio Haina leaves Houston on April 30.

The port rotation is: Houston, Altamira, Veracruz, Puerto Limon, Manzanillo (Panama), Cartagena,Puerto Cabello, La Guaira, Rio Haina and Houston.
