Trailcon signs deal with Clarke
Trailcon Leasing, a trailer and intermodal equipment leasing company, has signed a one-year deal with Clarke Transport of Concord, Ont.
Trailcon says its preventative maintenance program will ensure all A-checks, annual safeties and running repairs are done on Clarke’s 222 pieces of equipment at regularly scheduled intervals.
The agreement also extends to Trailcon’s computer system, which will maintain complete records for each piece of equipment in Clarke’s fleet. These records are accessible to Clarke at any time, and reports can be generated to identify costs trends of certain components.
“We have added another mobile service unit to handle Clarke’s fleet,” says Al Boughton, Trailcon president. “This brings to 16 the number of mobile service units we have operating in the Greater Toronto Area. Our fleet is expanding on a regular basis to meet the increasing demand for our services,” he says.
Each Trailcon mobile is fully equipped to handle almost any type of trailer repair or maintenance and, according to the company, every technician is a licensed trailer mechanic and can perform annual safety inspections at the customer’s location.
