United Airlines parents company, UAL Corporation, and the US Airways Group, Inc., may be terminating a proposed merger prior to the August 1 termination date, reports Schednet.com.
The development in the United Airlines and US Airways merger comes after the US Department of Transportation had already approved the transfer of the interstate and foreign scheduled passenger and cargo authority of TransWorld Airlines (TWA) to American Airlines in another mega-merger facing the US air industry.
