United Cargo changes policies, beefs up security

Effective immediately, United Cargo is adding more security measures to meet FAA Security Directives.

The new measures include verification against manifest, screening procedures, as well as verification and recording of delivery personnel identification.

Consistent with FAA policies, all ‘known shippers’ are now subject to stricter qualification requirements. United will meet with these customers individually, to ensure the process has minimal impact on their businesses.

Freight is now immediately processed for transport upon receipt of shipment, eliminating the previously imposed holding period.
