US Freightways reorganisation

US Freightways Corporation has made several changes to its logistics operations. USF Distribution and USF Logistics, both USFreightways subsidiaries, have been combined under a single management team.

Operating units of each business will remain intact under the new arrangement while administrative and sales functions will be shared.

Both USF Logistics and USF Distribution will continue to do business under their present names.

USF Distribution is a national provider of value added logistics services for the retail and consumer products markets. The company’s service offerings include consolidation, cross-docking, distribution, import deconsolidation, store-ready services, truckload and yard management.

The USF Logistics operations, on the other hand, provide supply chain solutions for online retailers and manufacturers, transportation management, dedicated fleet and contract warehousing.
