USCO Logistics and ACCUSHIP have formed an alliance that will provide ACCUSHIP’s online information management services to USCO’s clients.
Under the terms of the alliance, ACCUSHIP, a supplier of Internet-based applications, is providing electronic accounting, reporting, and billing for USCO’s warehouse and transportation management customers. In turn, ACCUSHIP is joint marketing USCO’s suite of logistics services to its clients.
The partnership evolved from customer need for back-end accounting and reporting as well as both companies’ shared objective to optimize their clients’ logistics expenditures through a more integrated supply chain. Industry trend analysts report that the real value in supply chain execution will come from product and information management companies that understand freight movements and utilize information technology.
USCO Logistics, which includes among its customers Nortel Networks, Sun Microsystems, GlaxoSmithKline, Wal-Mart and Target, operates shared and dedicated distribution centers throughout North America, as well as regional stocking locations that house critical parts for expedited delivery of goods.
Named one of Inc. magazine’s Top 500 fastest growing companies, ACCUSHIP is an online logistics information management system that integrates shipping, tracking, accounting and reporting capabilities to increase efficiencies and reduce costs. It offers a multi-carrier, multi-modal business-to-business system in one enterprise application to optimize the entire shipping process from carrier selection through bill presentment and payment.
