West Vancouver residents file injunction against BC Ferries expansion

An injunction has been filed against BC Ferries by angry West Vancouver residents in their bid to stop the proposed expansion of the ferry service in Horseshoe Bay, according to a Canadian Press report.
The injuction ws filed with the B.C. Supreme Court of Canada.
The residents filing the injunction fear the BC Ferries expansion will have major implications on the health and safety of local children, require drastic changes to the community and cost taxpayers too much.
They add that the proposed 12-lane holding area will be able to hold up to 1285 trucks and cars whose exhaust emissions will be trapped in the bowl of Horseshoe Bay, posing a health concern for area children.
