Manual inefficiency impacting yard and dock management, says report

C3 Solutions has released a new industry report to mark its 25th anniversary, highlighting key trends and challenges in yard and dock management.

The Montreal-based company, which provides global yard and dock management solutions, surveyed 170 supply chain professionals for its “State of Yard and Dock Management” report. Among the findings, 39.18 per cent of respondents reported manual inefficiencies that impact productivity and scalability.

The report identifies growing demand for real-time visibility, automation and system integration as priorities for improving operations and meeting consumer expectations.

“Celebrating our 25th anniversary with the release of this insightful and actionable research underscores our longstanding commitment to innovation and our dedication to addressing the evolving demands of the supply chain industry,” said Marc Tomkinson, CTO of C3 Solutions.

Environmental considerations also emerged as a key factor, with 91.7 per cent of respondents saying sustainability influences their purchasing decisions. The report includes strategic recommendations such as automated scheduling, better resource allocation and improved access to real-time data.

C3 Solutions says it aims to meet industry needs through sustainability-focused technologies that reduce carbon footprints and enhance efficiency.
