Joy Nott has been appointed the new president of IE Canada, the Canadian Association of Importers and Exporters.
Nott was previously a vice-president and managing consultant at JP Morgan Global Trade Management. In that role she specialized in matters of Customs and international trade for both Canada- and US-based clients. She has more than 20 years of experience in Customs compliance.
She also has extensive knowledge of Canada’s various trade agreements and has helped companies become registered for the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and Partners in Protection (PIP) programs.
Nott takes over the position from Mary Anderson, who has stepped down after nearly five years of leadership.
