QUEBEC CITY, Que. — CITT has announced a comprehensive lineup of topics for its upcoming Reposition 2007 conference to be held in Quebec City this November 7-9.
The list of topics includes:
Half-Day Environmental Summit: Acclimatization is the name of this years logistics and environmental summit for Reposition 2007. As the name suggests, it revolves around how the logistics and supply chain industry is acclimatizing itself to the realities of doing business in a climate of change.
The half-day summit, which opens the conference and will be led by editorial director Lou Smyrlis, will include a three-stage presentation about the impact global warming is currently having on the logistics and supply chain sector, and how some companies are adapting their way of business to help alleviate changes in climate.
The renowned list of guest speakers includes leaders from the supply chain, logistics and transportation sectors, along with leaders from the business and academic world as well.
Going Global: An Introduction to the Cultural Aspects of International Trade
Participants will learn the importance of cultural differences as they relate to international business, including negotiating and relationship building for intercultural effectiveness.
Supply Chain Technology Creating Strategic Value
The session will examine how technology is, and always will be, a differentiator in day-to-day operations.
Risk Management in Logistics
Delegates will be put into teams and presented with three industry relevant case studies of international movements and must develop appropriate solutions.
Security and your Supply Chain
What are the issues when conducting business at the border or at a port of entry? Participants will learn from an expert panel who manage supply chain security programs.
Learn How To Lead and Facilitate Innovation Within Your Company
Champion Action will be a hands-on, work session designed to assist participants in implementing real change within their organization with confidence.
Walking Tour of old Quebec City
Reposition 2007 will offer delegates a chance to stretch their legs as well. An optional guided walking tour of the city will provide a sense of its history City, as well as an understanding of the people who have inhabited it through the centuries.
