Bunzl Distribution acquires GF Inc in Canada

St. Louis, Missouri—Bunzl Distribution has acquired the assets and operations of GF Inc, an industrial packaging, equipment and warehouse supplies distributor headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.

This acquisition marks Bunzl Canada’s entrance into the industrial packaging sector and its continued expansion. The division’s more than 750 employees provide coast-to-coast distribution solutions from 40 locations throughout Canada.

“Our acquisition of GF demonstrates our commitment to investing in new business segments and expanding our Canadian operations,” said Bunzl Distribution president and CEO Patrick Larmon. “We are excited to welcome the entire GF Inc. executive leadership team and their talented associates to our organization.”

GF Inc operates in Western Canada from 11 locations in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Revenue in 2014 was more than $80 million. Former GF Inc CEO Greg Martin will continue to lead the business as general manager.
