System Logistics buys Vertique from Illinois Tool Works

Ada, Michigan—System Logistics, a Krones Group company, has made an asset acquisition of the Vertique business from Illinois Tool Works Inc. through its US subsidiary System Logistics Corporation.

This acquisition represents an important strategic milestone in reinforcing its presence in the US food & beverage markets, where Vertique with its warehouse automation solutions and products plays a significant role.

 “We believe that this strategic acquisition is an opportunity for System Logistics to reinforce our presence in the US market and to complement what we already offer”, said Luigi Panzetti, CEO of System Logistics. “Vertique is the leading company in the United States for case picking and now it will be able to offer solutions for pallet storage and material handling such as automated storage and retrieval systems, and Laser Guided Vehicles”.

Vertique is located in Arden, North Carolina, and over the past 15 plus years, has grown to bean important player in the food & beverage market, providing intralogistics solutions. Vertique has more than 60 employees based mostly at the Arden facility.

Vertique will continue to offer its solutions in the US as a business unit of System Logistics Corporation. The ability to complement its offering with storage solutions provided by System Logistics further enhances Vertique’s market potential.

The headquarters and the production facility will remain in Arden, NC.

System Logistics is a worldwide provider of  warehouse automation including  storage, case picking and material handling solutions for the food and beverage industry.
