BRP opens Quebec distribution centre to support global logistics operations

BRP Inc. has opened its largest global distribution and logistics centre in Saint-Philippe, Que., consolidating the company’s parts, accessories and apparel (PA&A) distribution operations into a single hub serving more than 2,050 dealers in 110 countries.

The facility will support shipments for BRP brands including Ski-Doo, Lynx, Sea-Doo, Can-Am, LinQ, XPS and Rotax. The company said all PA&A products now move through the Saint-Philippe centre before being shipped directly to consumers or dealers, or redistributed through BRP’s 16 other distribution centres worldwide.

“With the capacity to process more than 2.5 million orders per year, this center enhances both the quality, speed and precision of the service we provide to our dealers and customers, while significantly improving our operational efficiency,” said Michael Long, vice-president and general manager, global – parts, accessories and apparel at BRP. “As such, it is an essential component of our global operations and aligns with BRP’s long-term growth strategy.”

The 950,000-square-foot facility, equivalent to about 18 football fields, is among the largest distribution and logistics hubs in Quebec, according to BRP. The company selected Saint-Philippe for its workforce and location near key markets in Quebec, Ontario, the Great Lakes region and the United States.

“The opening of this center represents much more than just a new building. It reflects the economic vitality of our region, contributes to the prosperity of our community, and confirms Saint-Philippe’s appeal to international companies,” said Christian Marin, mayor of Saint-Philippe.

BRP also announced a $75,000 donation over two years to the Moussaillons-et-de-la-Traversée Elementary School in Saint-Philippe to support a schoolyard renovation project.

PA&A generates more than $1 billion in annual revenue for BRP, with sales more than doubling over the past decade, the company said.
