Economic uncertainty, AI and workforce change will be the focus at Western Women with Drive on Nov. 12 in Winnipeg. The event is presented by Trucking HR Canada with Western Canada’s provincial trucking associations.
The conference will bring together trucking and logistics leaders to discuss how economic shifts, demographic change and new technologies are affecting the industry. Speakers include leadership expert Deri Latimer, economist Todd Hirsch and senior transportation leaders from across Western Canada.
“The forces reshaping Canada’s trucking and logistics sector are also reshaping its workforce,” said Angela Splinter, president and CEO of Trucking HR Canada. “Economic uncertainty, demographic change, AI and evolving workforce expectations are creating new challenges for leaders.”
Latimer will speak about navigating change and strengthening workplace culture. Hirsch will outline Western Canada’s economic and labour outlook. A C‑suite panel from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba will discuss economic pressures, workforce challenges, AI adoption and leadership development.
