Savage & CP Rail

Savage is working with Canadian Pacific Railway to address a critical supply chain need for the construction industry, providing a location for Chicago area businesses to transload lumber and building materials between railcars and trucks. Savage is now operating its new CPT Chicago Transload terminal at CP’s Bensenville, Illinois, rail yard with direct access to rail lines and major Chicago highways.

General Dynamics

General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is building a research and development facility in Sherbrooke, Quebec, for remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) technologies. It is supported by a $9 million contribution of the Government of Québec, through Investissement Québec. General Dynamics will work with Laflamme Aero Inc., one of Québec’s emerging aerospace companies to develop a remotely piloted helicopter, the LX300.

Tecsys

Tecsys Inc. is boasting that its Elite Healthcare supply chain management platform is gaining wide acceptance in the U.S. healthcare industry. Since the beginning of COVID-19 shutdowns, Tecsys has added nearly a dozen new healthcare organizations to its network of customers and deepened partnerships with several existing customers. Now more than 30 healthcare users have adopted its software. These include the Mayo Clinic, Gunderson Health System, McLeod Health, Orlando Regional Healthcare System and Medical University of South Carolina.

Pivotree

Toronto-based Pivotree Inc. is acquiring Bridge Solutions Group Corp for US$6 million. Bridge Solutions is a supply chain service provider and Pivotree partner specializing in order management services, warehouse management services and application integration. With the acquisition Pivotree will add and build on the Yantra Commerce solution set, including Yantra WMS, IMS and Control Tower products.

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG

Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) will be actively involved in the newly founded H2Global foundation to successfully implement their hydrogen technology projects. Angela Titzrath, the chairwoman of HHLA’s Executive Board was elected deputy chairwoman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees. The H2Global foundation has been established to contribute to the economic market launch of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
