Norda Stelo & CWA Engineers

Quebec-based independent engineering consulting firm Norda Stelo Inc. has acquired CWA Engineers Inc. (CWA). The acquisition will incorporate over 100 engineers, technologists, designers, and support staff into Norda Stelo’s existing 750 employees. Leadership and locations will remain consistent, with CWA’s CEO, Raymond Chu, assuming the role of vice-president, Western Canada and USA, and operating from the former CWA offices in Vancouver, BC. Norda Stelo’s established legacy in automation, port and rail infrastructure design, and liquid/gas material handling aligns with CWA’s knowledge in bulk material handling. The transaction was supported with a $12 million loan from the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CPDQ).

Nulogy & Formic

Nulogy and Formic, a robotics company, are partnering to jointly offer their respective SaaS (Software as a Service) and RaaS (Robotics as a Service) product offerings. This partnership between Nulogy and Formic will offer contract logistics providers, contract packagers, contract manufacturers, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands with automation capabilities – including shop floor data and workflow automation through Nulogy’s cloud-based platform and physical production floor automation through Formic’s robotics solutions.

Arrive Logistics & Descartes

Arrive Logistics is using Descartes MacroPoint to provide customers with real-time visibility into freight moving across its nationwide network. Arrive Logistics was recently honoured by Descartes MacroPoint as a Top Carrier for 2023. The award recognizes carriers who achieve and maintain high standards of tracking compliance across a large volume of freight, a status reserved for less than one percent of the Descartes MacroPoint carrier network.

Wish & PUDO Inc.

Customers of e-commerce giant Wish are now able to collect parcels from more than 1,200 active PUDOpoint counters across the U.S. and Canada. PUDO Inc. partnered with ContextLogic Inc., which operates Wish, to offer the service. The companies expect the network of click and collect locations to grow to 1,500 locations by the end of 2023.
